Other than the fact that I was sad about the losses of some of the supporting characters, it basically worked out exactly as I wanted it to. . . I was very pleased.

I really thought Harry was going to die. I was so glad he didn't. I cried when he joined his parents, I thought that was it for him. It's great that him and Ginny ended up together. I'm going to miss Harry Potter.

LOVED IT!! I was surprised and confounded at the relation of some facts leading up to the end, but overall, I thought it was wonderful. Ms. Rowling has proven to be an excellent writer, and I will eagerly await her next project.

I enjoyed it. Ms. Rowling wrapped up all the loose ends.

What a great journey it has been! After finishing the last book I was so pleased with the explanations and mysteries revealed....and relieved that Harry made it out alive.......Since reading the first book I have loved this series.........I will miss Harry ...it's like saying good bye to an old friend...J.K....thanks for the great ride !!!

This was her best book ever. I laughed and cried and was so glad to find out how everything tied in with Snape and Harry's parents and Dumbledore. "The Prince's Tale" chapter was one of the most moving chapters I've read in the whole Harry Potter series. That she could dream up this whole world and these complicated relationships shows what a great, imaginative writer she is.

I admit that I started reading this series to get my daughter interested in reading and I got caught in the story. I really love the way JK leads us on these adventures and shares Harry with us. I said goodbye to a friend last night as I read the final chapter of the boy who lived. JK did leave us guessing on a few things: What did Dudley see when the Dementor attacked, what happened to the Dursley’s, who was the non-magical person who performed magic, what happens to Luna, did George carry on the business, Is McGonagall headmistress? Don’t get me wrong I LOVED THE LAST BOOK. Just wished she would have closed out with no questions looming. Still sad to loose a friend………………….

Loved it. I actually cried when Dobby died! LOL But these characters are like family!! You basically grow up with them and learn to love them. I do wonder also what happened to Luna and George and I was so so so sad that Lupin and Tonks died after they had just had a child. I'm sad and in mourning that this journey has ended.

What a wonderful piece of literature to be enjoyed and remembered for a long time! This final book brought the story to a wonderful conclusion.

It has been a wonderful observation to watch our son read these books over the years......I can honestly say I've never seen him so tortured in reading the last of this epic series....he would speed read and then deliberately read one page and stop not wanting it to end.

Upon finishing he says that he was very satisfied with how it all played out despite his not wanting it to end.  But he remains hopeful that J. K. Rowling will want to pick up the series down the road.

I think Ms. Rowling's last book was a masterpiece. I just wish they would hire another director to make the half blood prince and the last two deathly hallows. The last movie the Order of the Phoenix was horrilbe. The actors rushed through the lines and they totally re-wrote the book. I know time is an issue but, for all practical purposes, Creature was removed from the movie. The team did not act they simply recited their lines. Yates is Horrible. Get Columbus back and don't worry about how long the movies are...just tell the story. I was so disappointed at the scene in the Hogs Head. I could go on and on but finally, Luna Lovegood came off like some brain witch and in the book Luna is kind of Dissey. Where are all the real Potter Heads, Yates Was Horrible.
