I would love to see a specific list of who performed what music at the Augusta service - as my brother was an invited soloist. I would appreciate someone posting that information.

James Brown is an icon in black history and we forever be remember for all the good he did for everyone, not only for black community, but for everyone of all race, creed and/or color. In life we all have made mistakes, but we learn from our mistakes and move on. I see no reason for the news media to keep showing the picture of him when he was arrested, but then on the other hand they want you to remember this picture of him at one of the worst moments in his life. But we do not dwell on that, because he is and always will be the Godfather of Soul, who has inspired and contributed a lot to the community and he is highly respected. He was a people person and being from Augusta, Georiga, and my husband is a great gospel singer, we know who he really was, he was James Browns, a strong black man whom God placed on this earth to serve a purpose and now that that purpose has been served he is now in heaven, singing in that heavently choir with Lou Rawl, Luther, Ray Charles, Charlie Barnwell & Big Red (also from Augusta - Swannee Quartett),etc. Take your rest James Brown for it is much deserved. God bless the family as they individually dwell in their sorrow and memories of this great man........... God bless.........

When the former member of the Temptations took the stage you just knew that it was going to be the best---and it was. The singer set the tone of what Mr. James Brown roots where. Soul nmusic is Gospel music with flare. It was awesome and something I shall remember always.
