Family motorcade leaves for arena

C.A. REID SR. MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME -- James Brown's kin departed the funeral home on Laney-Walker Boulevard Extension at 12:30 p.m. to travel to the 1 p.m. "homegoing celebration" at James Brown Arena.

Five black limousines, one white limousine and at least six Richmond County sheriff's deputies on motorcycles are en route to the civic center on Seventh Street.

Mr. Brown has been the most prominent and publicized entertainer in history. All of my life--60 years as of
this month, he has been at the top of the list.

He ran into a lot of negatives along the way, but he rose
to the occasion and out-shined the heightened publicity of
the problems in his personal life.

We loved Mr. James Brown--the man, the entertainer. GOD
loved him best. We will miss his public appearances, but he will always be in our hearts and memories.

why they did not put the name of James Brown Children in paper.The newspaper says he has four childred, the news says he has six.
