Check out James' furious footwork -- this appears to be where Michael Jackson stole all of his best moves, 20 years later.

James Brown was one of the Greatest Performers of our time. He was just "The Godfather of Soul", plain and simple. I had a chance to meet Mr. Brown in 1979 when I lived in Augusta and worked at the Church's chicken on 9th street, they drove up to the window afer closing time wanting chicken legs, of course we had to cook them for him, Mr. Brown did not make you feel as if he was royalty, he was normal people around the people in Augusta. He will be missed by all young and old for his music have gone across all lines.

Canada salutes and mourns the loss of a true musical legend. "PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE" remember this: James Brown gave us over 5 decades of incredible memories. We were a literal "PRISONER OF LOVE" to the man and his unique style of entertainment. As I think of JB ... "I FEEL GOOD!" Now, we as fans can do something to perpetuate his legend: we can, we must, become "THE HARDEST WORKING ...". We can assure his music and 'style' will live on. Thank you, JB.

Never got the chance to meet Mr. Brown. But, I wish I did. He was a great performer. The best of all time! Everyone is trying to steal his moves. Michael Jackson, Prince, Usher, Ginuwine. But, no one can be James! Only one! I tried to steal his moves too when I was 5 years old. I had them too!lol Not!

The world lost a great entertainer AND humanitarian.

RIP James

I just hope somebody continues the programs that he cared so deeply for.
