Post a message to the 67th Signal Battalion

Posted by Augusta.com Staff on December 23, 2006 - 10:57 AM

The men and women of the 67th Signal Battalion deployed in October for a year-long tour in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait, where they provide battlefield communications to coalition forces in war zones. Soldiers of the 67th, who are kept very busy setting up and moving operations around, are encamped in over 15 separate locations.

You can leave a message of support for the 67th here.

Hello Soldiers!!!
Im a brat from the old wars back in the 60's just popped in to say Hi, hope you are well. Today is Christmas and thank you for keeping America in check. Hey does anybody ever hear of James Brown, soul singer, well he died this morning. Just to let you know I see those breaks on tv where the soldiers say hi to their families. When my daddy said hello he used to send the old reel to reel tapes home and we would all gather around to listen to our dad sing us lullabies. Chin up. Merry Christmas........

I would like to extend my heartfelt "Thank You!" for the work you men and women are doing there to bring an end to this trying time. All of you are in my prayers and I hope that each and every one of you, our youth, come home to pick up where you left off with your lives, soon! This is a great committment that you are doing for the World, for the whole world is watching each and every day at what is going on there. Prayers are going out for all of you from all over the World. I know this is a hard time, being away from your families, but, know that in time you will be able to look back on this time and say, "Man, I did a great thing, did'nt I" Love from a fellow Afro-American Gramma!

To our heroes of the 67th Signal Batallion:
More than thirty years ago my former husband was stationed at Fort Gordon and was a member of the 67th. At that time Vietnam loomed over us. As God delivered so many during that time He has the power to deliver you.
It is my heartfelt prayer that He will be your protector and guide while you're away and that that your families will remain faithful and steadfast until you return.
Thank you for all you are doing and for all that you are.
Hurry home to us!
