Bush's campaign of terrorPosted by The_Weasel on September 08, 2006 - 12:13 PM WASHINGTON - President Bush kicked off the 2006 election campaign with a series of speeches designed to scare voters and improve his poll numbers before the mid-term elections in November. The president reminded the American people that "we are at war," and that evildoers are everywhere, even under our beds when we go to sleep at night. An unnamed White House source said "It worked once before. It will work again. The American people believe anything we tell them. They even believed there were Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq!" The president also outlined what is, and is not, considered torture of enemy combatants. Waterboarding has been banned. That's the technique of making accused terrorists believe they are going to be drowned by dunking their head under water and nearly drowning them. It makes the floors of secret detention centers too slippery for the interrogators. The government was spending a fortune on workers compensation cases. The CIA will now apply adhesive bandages to the hairy backs of suspected terrorists and slowly tear them off. The playing of loud music to keep terror suspects awake will be banned. Instead, they will be issued iPods with only one song on the playlist - "You Light Up My Life." The posing of prisoners in sexually explicit positions and the wearing of a hood is strictly forbidden. Each prisoner will now be issued a "hoodie" sweatshirt and will be forced to pose for Abercrombie and Fitch ads. - Pop Goes the Weasel Submitted by imdstuf on September 10, 2006 - 11:59 PM.
I made my comment. It was funny. It is mocking the oh so great leader of our nation. I do not have to be on the defenseive FrozenOne. Again, I may be in the minority on the silly blogs of the Augusta Chronicle, but overall I am in the majority of those who do not feel Bush is doing a good job. Period. You may be right imdstuf, but you know what they say, opinions are like brains NOT every one has one. Look at it this way, had your man Kerry won you would be speaking Arabic, while the rest of us true Americans would be fighting to regain our country back. Imdstuf! You and Msking1 are in a dream world for the worlds most wishful thinking morons if you really believe that just because Mr Bush can no longer run that we will be left alone. You Democrats have made a name for yourselves as America's weak link and that has opened the door to even bigger attacks in the future, after all you two little fruit cakes it was during Bills term that gave the terroists the balls to even think about attacking us. So you two brainless dweebs better wake up from dream world and come back here into the real world. Submitted by imdstuf on September 19, 2006 - 9:30 AM.
During Bills term? We had attacks on the WTC during his term and on Bush's term. Atleast we knew it was possible by the time Bush was in power and he had all of the intelligence information Clinton had plus whatever was gathered after Clinton left office. imdstuff: In my business we always considered the LOP (Least Objectionable Program) syndrome when choosing televion programming running opposite other programming. In this political arena we had a choice of either Bush or Kerry. The Least Objectionable was Bush and he was so chosen. Live with it, had it been Kerry you would likely die with it. Msking1! Are you for real or are you just a make believe barbie doll living in the perfect world where every thing goes your way? Are you forgetting that we did not start this war on terrorism but we sure as hell will make them pay for trying to destroy this Great Nation. Ask yourself this question: Do you like being free to do what you want when you want? If so, then try understanding what is happening here and try to do your part in uniting AMERICA instead of trying to tear her apart by sympathizing with OUR enemies. |
