Leave her alone! She’s a girl !

Ok, so I actually read the book…
This is how “Godless,” by Ann Coulter, starts:
“They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator…”
and this is how it ends:
“By their fruits ye shall know them.”
In the middle are statements that prompted Hillary to call the book a “vicious, mean-spirited attack,” and blogs to respond, “bottom line, she is not a nice woman. I believe when some people think of her, the word "Antichrist" comes to mind.”
So what is it, exactly, that people are upset about?
The chapter that caused all the publicity for the book is
“LIBERALS’ DOCTRINE OF INFALLIBILITY: SOBBING HYSTERICAL WOMEN”
and includes these statements of general liberal strategy:
“Liberals are perennially enraged that Republicans are allowed to talk back… So now they constantly try to re-create a world where they can hurl slander and treason without anyone arguing back.”
And
“Finally, the Democrats hit on an ingenious strategy: They would choose only messengers whom we’re not allowed to reply to. That’s why all Democratic spokesmen these days are sobbing, hysterical women.”

And these specific statements:
“Sheehan called Bush ‘the biggest terrorist in the world,’ a ‘fuhrer,’ an ‘evil maniac,’ and a filth-spewer’.”
“…the Jersey Girls are used as “a gaggle of weeping widows to blame President Bush for 9/11.”
She says, “They first came together to complain that the $1.6 million average settlement to be paid to 9/11 victims’ families by the government was not large enough.”
And the one that generated so much publicity for “Godless”:
“Apparently, denouncing Bush was an important part of their closure process. These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis. I’ve never seen people enjoying their husbands’ deaths so much.”
And this:
“…cutting campaign commercials for Kerry. And by the way, how do we know their husbands weren’t planning to divorce these harpies? Now that their shelf life is dwindling, they’d better hurry up and appear in Playboy.”
She finishes with this:
“If these Democrat human shields have a point worth making, how about allowing it to be made by someone we’re allowed to respond to?”

She writes much more, and much worse, about Cindy Sheehan. Wonder why no one defended Cindy?
But the book is very well written, and well researched. The offending comments are part of Coulter’s attack on the very liberal tactic supposed to prevent objective discussion.
They are integral to the book.
And besides, Ann’s a girl !

Perhaps her detractors simply don’t want some of the truths in the book to come out, such as the role Jamie Gorelick, Clinton’s deputy attorney general, played in allowing 9/11 to happen.
She states, “…the Democrats were able to ensure a whitewash of Clinton’s utter incompetence, cowardice…”
Coulter may need to fine-tune her rhetoric, but the charges against her, and the tactics used by the liberal media, are accurately predicted in her book. “Godless” is much better than what the media would have you believe.

So while the media portrays her book as only attacking helpless widows, they ignore her real reason for writing- essentially, to attack that primary liberal tactic, propaganda:

The receptive powers of the masses are very restricted, and their understanding is feeble. On the other hand, they quickly forget. Such being the case, all effective propaganda must be confined to a few bare essentials and those must be expressed as far as possible in stereotyped formulas. These slogans should be persistently repeated until the very last individual has come to grasp the idea that has been put forward.

Is she sorry for the comments?
Her website has the following headline:
“Party of Rapist Proud to be Godless”
don’t think so…
