i think one way to get a lot of this crap to stop is if a person rapes another human being,molests a child,murders someone and they are found guilty they ought to be put to death,with no appeals,instead of sitting in prison for 10 or 15 years waiting to die they die in 90.we shouldnt have to support these sick freaks for their entire lives instead that money that would have been spent on supporting them in prison could be used for the victim,for counseling,etc.its a travisty that the victims has no rights and the rapists,murderers have all the rights,the rights to appeal after appeal,to live in prison for us to support.i think if the system would start being hard on criminals by putting them to death and doing it quickly then people would realise theres no free pass anymore that if they molest,rape or murder someone their life will be taken it might make these sick freaks think twice it couldnt hurt to try,anything has to be better than whats going on now.

thats the problem everyone is concerned with the rapists,molester,murders rights,well what about the rights of the people that got molested,murdered or raped,i reckon they had a right to have that happen,they had a right to be beaten,tied up,starved,having their throat slit,thats their rights?we ought to tell the rapist,molesters to take their rights and shove it up their ass,the only rights they should have is to die.if we start putting them in prison,have them put to death no later than 90 days after their trial ends,maybe 1 appeal thats it.then people will realise that the free room and board they get for raping,molesting someone is no more,they get put to death,after a few years of that they will finally realise they cant get away with it,and the money that would be saved is off the charts,bottom line something needs to be done.

To myobgdi, since I don't delve in the world of sex deviates I assumed (yeah I know what it spells)that such crimes were sexually motivated. If however Michael Jackson were to molest children in Bahrain and he was caught, stoning would be his likely punishment. And, it would not take 90 days to do that.

thats one thing i think the usa can learn from other countries,how to treat people who kill,rape.i clicked on aol and the first thing they show is a picture of a baby with the headlines "kidnappers killed a baby boy because he was crying",see whats wrong with people?people who does stuff like that in my opinion dont deserve to live,people ought to be outraged that these murders,rapists is getting set free or stay in prison eating better than i am,off of our taxes,iam just appauled that the public looks the other way on things like this,its sad.

I agree...crimes against children are the most despicable acts imaginable and anyone who violates an innocent child should not be allowed to live and tell the story.

I think that anyone who would molest/rape a child should be sentenced to life in the general population of a maximum security prison. Living with those inmates is sure to be hell on earth (they will know what he/she is in for)

And I have had ample contact with perpetrators to know what sniveling little whiners most of them are when they DON'T have the power. So maybe Honden has the right solution. Let the prison general population have them...FOREVER!

I agree that all rapist/molesters should be put in gen pop. They need to get a taste of their own medicine. They need to have all the power taken away from them and get put the hands of someone who means them harm. From what I understand, prisoners do not take kindly to child molesters/rapists. I think that if nothing is being done, then the family should be allowed to get involved and execute their own brand of justice without killing the perp. Let the death happen under court watch.
If the parents are also involved, then the child needs to be taken out of their care and put into foster care, and the parents should not be given the death penalty but life without the possibility for parole, and not allowed to see their children until they are at least 21...let them stew over what they have done to the life of their child. Who knows what will happen when that child grows up. Will he become a rapist/molester or will he/she become an honorable citizen...with the proper councelling I hope it is the latter.

That is sick and digusting. As a new parent I would never dream of letting my child go through that especially since I did. It could of ruined my life but I got help and didn't let it.

ok I'm gonna play devil's advocate here. What about instances where someone is wrongfully accused and found guilty only to be vindicated 10 years later (as we see in the news everyday) Do you dig them up and say sorry? I'm all for punishing sexual deviate child molesters and never letting them see the light of day. I'm also a death penalty supporter but I also believe in the constitution. I don't want to get one case wrong. Now that being said, someone like the killer of Jessica Lunsford (and the people that lived in that trailer and knew what was going on) who lead the police to the body of their victims I can agree with the 90 day rule!!
