Try Out Buying in Bulk

Posted by LaTina Emerson on October 10, 2008 - 12:27 PM

To save money on groceries, many people buy in bulk at warehouse retailers. In October, Sam’s Club is offering a 10-week trial membership for $10.

Here’s the tip of the day:

If you’ve always wanted to try out buying in bulk, Sam’s Club on Bobby Jones Expressway is allowing potential customers to become members on a temporary basis.

This October, Sam’s is offering a 10-week membership for $10 to prospective members. The enrollment will be held from Oct. 17-19 and Oct. 24-26.

These customers will complete a survey on their shopping habits for comparison to Sam’s prices, said Jackie Atkins, a membership manager at Sam's Club.

Sam’s Club also wants to help existing customers track their spending, so the store is providing its members with data on their purchasing habits.

Do you think buying in bulk saves money at the grocery store? Write in to The Pinch to let me know.
