I understand how you feel but stay strong and hopefully things will change for her. My daughter had kidney problems and urinary tract problems when she was young and now she is doing better. My God Bless you and your daughter :)

thank you,i think the worst thing in the world anyone can go through is losing a child, thats one thing i hope i never have to go through,i was so scared,i made a fool out of myself i reckon but shes my daughter, this day and age with all the new virusis,i had no clue what was wrong, all these things was going through my head.
for a child to have so many problems at such a early age makes you wonder why?i know god has a plan for everyone and everything happens for a reason but at times it seems so unfair to the child who has to go through it,i hope your child gets better and continues to get strength from you,we are lucky to have children,i realise that more now than ever.

Hello
Just wanted to say that there is no way in the world that you made a fool out of yourself. You are so right she is your daughter and if you wont protect her than who will. I am so proud of you for taking the initutive to go to several clinics until someone finally helped you and your daughter. I can not imagine how scary it was to see her so sick. Shame on the nurse for telling you to wait. May GOD bless you and your family!

First of all, I'm so very glad that ya'll found out what was wrong with your daughter! Also, you did the right thing to pitch a fit until they would see your daughter. However, I can just about guarantee that the person who told you to wait was NOT a nurse. A nurse would've taken one look at your daughter and gotten her into the room to see a doctor. I know this because I am an RN. The person who told you to wait was a receptionist/E.R. clerk who is not trained to triage patients.
The only sure fire way to have gotten into the E.R. to see a doctor immediately would've been to come in by ambulance. But don't start second guessing your decision to drive her in yourself. You did what you thought was best at the time. Next time, if something like this ever happens again, you will know what to do differently.

Bottom line is that your daughter is okay and you both got through it!

My youngest had several severe allergic reactions to various things when he was a baby. One time his whole body swole up and I was afraid he was going into anaphylactic shock (your throat can swell up and you'll asphyxiate). I took him to the closest ER. I carried him in and didn't bother stopping at the reception desk. I went through the automatic doors (I believe I opened them with my foot) and went right up to the desk in the middle of the ER where the nurses and doctors were standing. I plunked him right down on the desk (he was about 2) and stated that we needed immediate assistance. Maybe it was the way I said it, I don't know, but they put us right in a room with the doctor. After he had been checked out the addmitance nurse collected all of my insurance information and got us formally admitted to the ER. I really wasn't in a mood to deal with any hospital bureaucracy, and I wasn't about to take no for an answer.

Keep your head up and hopefully things will continue to go well. We all do what we think is right for our children. If no one takes care of them then no one else will. May God bless you:)

If your child has childhood migraines that are difficult to control, she should see a pediatric neurologist. There are 4 doctors at MCG specially trained to treat this in the department of child neurology. If she has more migraines, please have her seen by one of them there. CCOOK

To much is given much is required. You have a very special child. Some may not want to believe this but I believe that your child isn't going through all the sickness that she's going throught for no reason God has a plan for her life. The devil wants her but God has her. Trials come only to make us strong. Not saying that if anything like this would have happen to one of my children that I wouldn't get scared as well, but I am learning to trust and totally depend on my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. God bless you and your family. Just remember God has give us power through him which strengthens us.

I can completely understand your fear. My oldest daughter, who is 7, was diagnosed with Migraines at age 5 but has been having them since she was 4. As a parent, you feel completely helpless as your child crys out in pain. Your actions were completely justified. You reacted as any concerned parent would and should. My daughter is on a daily medication and has gone and seen a neurologist. It is definately a good idea to take your child to go see one. If she does have continuous migraines you will learn to pick up on the starting signs of it and try and head it off before it gets too bad. Believe me, I have had to learn this over time. I hope that everything with your daughter, goes well. please feel free to email me if you have any questions about migraines. I'll help you as much as I can. Take Care!

I think it's a crying shame that the er will make a person wait when it could be life or death. I'm so glad your daughter is ok and they were able to diagnose the problem.

Trials can be overwhelming.Shoa wass. WE do not need them. They happen naturalistically.Do not read an anthropomorphic reason behind them.
