If you live or work in District 2, we want to hear your advice to Augusta commissioners for their planned visit. Where should they visit Thursday? What questions should they ask?

Why do we have children in rundown portable classrooms all over Richmond County, but the Board Of Education spent MILLIONS of dollars on new football stadiums? Kicking old folks out of their homes so they can build a stadium that will be used about 3 months a year?
This is where the 1% Sales tax is going. How many classrooms could have been built for that money?
It's funny we survived with the stadiums we had for years. Why does each High School need its own stadium?
The County Commission does the same thing.Money for the arts is fine if you have extra money. But if you're not paying Deputies, Firefighters and other county employees a living wage, SORRY the arts are on their own.
The Problem with Local Governments is not a SHORTAGE of funds, but the lack of will to priortize and do what needs to be done without worring about their reelection.Too much time posturing for the cameras and letting everyone know I'm the BIG MAN (or WOMAN) in town.
That's why I'll never vote for the local option sales tax till the government learns to live within their means.
