Saving at the Pump

Posted by LaTina Emerson on July 28, 2008 - 10:42 AM

We’ve found some relief at the gas pumps, but it never hurts to save a few extra pennies. Want to keep some of your hard-earned money in your wallet? Here’s another gas tip:

Tip of the day:

You can receive 10 cents off per gallon at Kroger by using your Kroger Plus Card. Each time you spend $100 in groceries at Kroger and scan your card, you can receive 10 cents off your Kroger fuel purchase.

Please note: Customers will receive the savings only for each $100 on their card. For example, if you have $157 saved on your Kroger Plus Card, you can fill up at the pump once for the 10-cent savings.

*The dollars saved on your card are accumulated by the month and do not roll over. In other words, the dollar amount on your card starts over each month and cannot be combined with the total from the previous month.

Look at your receipt to find out when your accumulated dollars expire. In order to receive the best savings, go to the pump when you need a full tank of gas.

Kroger is also offering an extra $30 when you buy a $300 gift card. If you're like me and shop there all the time, it's a pretty good deal. Spend $300 and get $330 back.
