Let's Start Saving Money

Most people are feeling "the pinch" these days with the rising costs of gas and food. So, The Augusta Chronicle is doing its part to help consumers save a few pennies with this blog, appropriately titled, "The Pinch."

I'll be scouting the Augusta area for the best deals, and you'll find them posted here. We also want your suggestions. If you find a bargain/money-saving tip, please write in to let your fellow shoppers in on the scoop. We're all in this together, so let's save some money!

Here's today's money-saving tip:

You can save 3 cents per gallon off gas at Wal-Mart when you pay with a Wal-Mart gift card or Wal-Mart credit card.

The price for regular unleaded in North Augusta right now, 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, is $3.79. At the Evans Wal-Mart, it's $3.85 a gallon.
