What do you think the biggest mistake in the history of the federal government is?
The war in Iraq?
Not trusting radar before the Pearl Harbor attacks?
Permitting the fourth Indiana Jones movie to be made?
In fact, the answer is releasing this 1980s PSA for Selective Service, of course.
Watch the video and you'll agree. If I had to register in the 1980s, I might not have because I would worry registering would turn me into someone like the guys in the video.
Not that registering itself is lame, I'm registered. No strange side effects so far. But this PSA is terrible.
Granted, about sixty percent of 1980s PSAs were lame (who knows, in 20 years we might think today's PSAs are lame), but this one is the worst I've ever seen. Comment if you can top it.
