You can and will hear all kinds of things on this subject. The only true one to know is GOD. All other is just speculation. I saw a Prominant Evangelist on TV Saturday night broadcasting from Augusta, He said for the small audience of this area he believes it will be 2008 but he would not say that on his national broadcast show.

Since you brought up the Bible, all I'm aware that the Bible really says about the end of the world is that, "No one knows." It's folly to try and deduce some coded or uncoded message from the Bible regarding the timing of this event. Also, I wouldn't put much stock in a "visitation from angels". If anything, the Bible warns us NOT to pay much attention to what angels tell us now. As the Book of Hebrews tells us at the outset, there was a time when God sent His message to us through a diversity of sources (like prophets, angels, holy men, etc.). Now however, He has communicated to us in person, in the form of the man Jesus Christ (not via the ancient Mayans). Just listen to what God has said directly. What God tells us is that no one really knows.

I think we're much better off trying to deal with the problems and challenges of each day / week, rather than getting all stewed up about what might happen (according to some legend, vision, or calendar)in 2008 or 2012. If you put your trust and your future in the hand of Jesus Christ, it really doesn't matter to you when it all happens. You'll have peace now, and not worry about something you have no control over.

Absolutely! We are all "on the clock". Our time could be up simply as we drive down the expressway or walk down the street. I guess the trick is to live each day like it is indeed our last, and thank God each morning for that first breath and each night for our last waking moment. We are not promised tomorrow. We only have today. Question to each of us: what are we going to do with the time we've been given?
