Halftime: USC Aiken, 42, Lander 30

Commons finished the half with 11 points. Lander coach Bruce Evans, a mild-mannered guy, yelled something either at a referee or a USC Aiken coach as he took the long way to the locker room. The Pacer fans began making noise as the coaches soon became separated.

This game could get out of hand and become a big technical-fest.
