Henry's Life
This morning, as I am getting breakfast ready, I ask the two big boys to play with Henry on the front room floor.
"Set up some things for him to look at," I say, motioning to his box filled with brightly-colored, Mensa-approved toys.
A few minutes later, I come into the front room. Set directly in front of the baby is an antique wooden birdcage. Henry is staring intently at the miniature stuffed gorilla that is trapped inside.
"I think he'd rather look at these," I say, handing them something more age-appropriate. And also less depressing.
I walk back into the kitchen. A few minutes later, I hear the four big boys singing to Henry. Together, they harmonize the theme song from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. They hum and whistle as is fitting. They sound fantastic.
