If your kids ever whine about having to ride a bus to school, show them the alternative.
The people in this remote village in Columbia have to choose between a two hour hike to the nearest village or a one minute ride down on this old, rusty zip line that hangs 1,200 feet above the river below.
Young children learn the system at a early age, and are entrusted with carrying important supplies and younger siblings across (in old burlap sacks) at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour.
Apparently it's been used for years without any injuries, but something tells me plenty of American attorneys would love to get their hands on this class action suit waiting to happen.
